Design your own website with us:
It's important to take into account the
common pitfalls of web design.
A good website is user-centred: quick to load and easy to navigate; and
it looks good in different browsers as well as at different screen resolutions.

Steps to your website
Here are the main steps to getting a website. We can help with any or all of these:
- Decide on your
domain name
A domain name is effectively your address on the internet,
such as monnerys.com.
Registers
of reserved names are maintained. The organisations that maintain the registers
make a small annual
charge for each name on the register.
and register it.
- Consider how often your website will be updated and how this will be done.
- Choose a
server
A server is the physical computer which holds the live website.
Servers have more robust hardware than that used in personal computers.
Server machines typically have high-capacity power supplies, technology designed
for durability, plenty of fast-access memory, and a fast I/O subsystem.
to host your website.
-
Design
Depending on your ultimate requirements, you may want some graphics
design as well as website design.
your website.
- Publish your website to the
hosting
A website needs "hosting" - that is, it needs to exist on a server.
If you don't have your own server, you can rent space on one. Different companies
run the servers which have space for rent;
the facilities provided vary, and the companies charge different rates.
server.
